New Image of Ian McShane as Blackbeard in PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES

Arrrggghhh!!! May is fast approaching and that means that the latest installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise is merely months away from release (and millions upon millions upon millions of dollars, of course).  Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides hits theaters on May 20^th in 3D, and a new image from the flick has hit the net. This one gives us a good look at new villain Blackbeard, played by Ian McShane in a pitch-perfect casting move. As you can see, the filmmakers really want you to know that this is 3D, so Blackbeard conveniently points his sword toward the camera.

The fourth film in the franchise is helmed by Rob Marshall (Chicago) and stars McShane, Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Geoffrey Rush and Keith Richards.  In this adventure, Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow sets out to find the Fountain of Youth, but obviously runs into a bit of trouble along the way.
