We’ve got some new posters for you this afternoon, so let’s get to it.

Point Break

Point Break has placed itself in the running with 2015’s silliest tagline, “The Only Law That Matters Is Gravity”. I have a feeling the court will see it differently when you say that only “Gravity” can judge you, but I applaud the unique legal defense. Of course, there are bigger problems when all your money falls out of a plane.

Point Break opens in 3D on December 25th, and stars Edgar Ramirez, Luke Bracey, Ray Winstone, Teresa Palmer, and Delroy Lindo.

Here’s the official synopsis:

In Alcon Entertainment’s fast-paced, high-adrenaline action thriller “Point Break,” a young FBI agent, Johnny Utah (Luke Bracey), infiltrates a cunning team of thrill-seeking elite athletes – led by the charismatic Bodhi (Edgar Ramirez). The athletes are suspected of carrying out a spate of crimes in extremely unusual ways.

Deep undercover, and with his life in imminent danger, Utah strives to prove they are the architects of this string of inconceivable crimes.

The film is replete with the most daring athleticism ever seen in a motion picture. These action adventure feats are performed by elite athletes representing the world’s best in class in big-wave surfing, wingsuit flying, sheer-face snowboarding, free rock climbing, and high-speed motorcycling.

Jurassic World

Moving on, there’s the Chinese poster for Jurassic World in which the Indominous Rex tries to eat the logo and Chris Pratt runs away. Riveting stuff.

Jurassic World opens in 3D on June 12th and also stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Omar Sy, BD Wong, and Irrfan Khan.

Here’s the boilerplate:

Steven Spielberg returns to executive produce the long-awaited next installment of his groundbreaking Jurassic Park series, Jurassic World.  Colin Trevorrow directs the epic action-adventure based on characters created by Michael Crichton.  The screenplay is by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver and Derek Connolly & Trevorrow, and the story is by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver.  Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley join the team as producers.

Magic Mike XXL

Then there’s the ab-tacular poster for Magic Mike XXL. Can you deny these abs? No, no you cannot. Of course, the drawback to amazing abs is that if you ever touch a complex carbohydrate or refined sugar, you will die. Your abs can’t save you from cake.

Magic Mike XXL opens July 1st and stars Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe ManganielloAdam RodriguezAmber Heard, Elizabeth BanksJada Pinkett SmithDonald GloverAndie MacDowell, and Michael Strahan.

Here’s the official synopsis for Magic Mike XXL:

Picking up the story three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, “Magic Mike XXL” finds the remaining Kings of Tampa likewise ready to throw in the towel. But they want to do it their way: burning down the house in one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach, and with legendary headliner Magic Mike sharing the spotlight with them. On the road to their final show, with whistle stops in Jacksonville and Savannah to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, Mike and the guys learn some new moves and shake off the past in surprising ways.

Irrational Man

Next we have the poster for Woody Allen’s latest film, Irrational Man. Like pretty much all of the posters for Allens movies, it doesn’t tell you anything about the movie, and it doesn’t have to. You sell the names and put on a nice image. Sometimes you go a little bit beyond like Midnight in Paris and other times you manage to stumble into a photoshop disaster like Magic in the Moonlight. This is Joaquin Phoenix and the ocean. Good enough.

Irrational Man opens in limited release on July 17th, also stars Parker Posey, Jamie Blackley, and Emma Stone.

Max

Finally, we have the poster for Max, which is about a dog that helped soldiers in Afghanistan who returns to the U.S. and is adopted by his handler’s family.

Let me repeat: this is a movie about a dog who is also an American hero. This film will be the highest grossing picture of the decade. IT HAS EVERYTHING.

Max opens June 26th, and stars Robbie Amell, Lauren Graham, and Thomas Haden Church.
