PlayStation (yes, that Playstation) has released a new Powers featurette for its original series adaptation of the Brian Michael Bendis comic. The show stars Sharlto Copley and Susan Heyward as two homicide detectives who investigated cases involving superhuman abilities. This new, nearly 8-minute featurette offers up a bounty of new footage from the show along with a behind-the-scenes look at how the thing came together.

As someone unfamiliar with the comic, my interest in this series lies mainly in the fact that it marks another step in the ever-expanding reach of how we consume media. I’m curious to see how PlayStation fares with its first original series outing, as well as whether this might be a harbinger of other sources of original content to come.
