In our second piece of casting info regarding Preacher, it seems as though Ian Colletti (Rake, Jimmy, Baby Mama) has been hired to play Arseface in the AMC pilot for Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's adaptation of the comic series by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon's comic series. With the real name of Eugene Root, Arseface's face is a dire warning to anyone who thinks suicide by shotgun is always a painless, fatal affair. Sometimes you just end up blowing the front of your face off.

Colletti's casting follows the news that Ruth Negga will play Tulip, the ex-girlfriend of titular Preacher Jesse. Rogen and Goldberg will write and direct the pilot while Breaking Bad writer Sam Catlin will serve as showrunner. Deadline broke the news of Colletti's casting.

Here's the official synopsis from AMC:

Based on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s twisted ’90s comic book series, “Preacher” is about Jesse Custer, a conflicted Preacher in a small Texas town who merges with a creature that has escaped from heaven and develops the ability to make anyone do anything he says. Along with his ex-girlfriend, Tulip, and an Irish vampire named Cassidy, the three embark on a journey to literally find God.

Rogen and Goldberg have an incredible track record in my opinion, and I can't wait to see what they do with this.
