Jane Austen's classic novel Pride and Prejudice is one of those properties that has been adapted ad nauseam over the years, but Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is mixing up the proceedings with a (un)healthy dose of the undead. Directed by Burr Steers (Igby Goes Down) and based on Seth Grahame-Smith‘s parody novel, the film follows the high-society Bennet sisters -- well educated, elegant, and absolutely deadly with a dagger -- Elizabeth (Lily James), Lydia (Ellie Bamber), Mary (Millie Brady), Jane (Bella Heathcote), and Kitty (Suki Waterhouse). As in Austen's novel, the Bennet sisters strive for love and honor while navigating the societal pressures of womanhood in upper crust 19th-century England. They also have to fight off hordes of fleshy-hungry zombies in the process.

Sony Pictures has released a pair of new clips for the film that showcase the contrasting genre influences. The first sees a showdown between Lizzie and Lena Headey's antagonistic Lady de Catherine de Bourgh, while the second (via BloodyDisgusting) is a morbid lesson in detecting dead flesh.
