Briefly:

  • Prisoners – The giant heads of Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal are nothing but pensive in the first poster for the upcoming thriller.  The film opens September 20th, and also stars Viola Davis, Maria Bello, Terrence Howard, Melissa Leo, and Paul Dano.
  • Romeo & Juliet – The poster for Carlos Carlei’s adaptation of Shakespeare’s play features the angsty tagline “The Most Dangerous Love Story Ever Told”.  The film opens October 11th, and stars Hailee Steinfeld, Douglas Booth, Damian Lewis, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Ed Westwick, Stellan Skarsgaard, and Paul Giamatti.
  • Frozen – A new international poster puts the emphasis on the comic-relief Snowman Olaf (voiced by Josh Gad) for Disney’s upcoming animated film.  The film opens in 3D on November 27th, and also features the voices of Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, Idina Menzel, and Alan Tudyk.

Here’s the official synopsis for Prisoners:

Keller Dover is facing every parent’s worst nightmare. His 6-year-old daughter and her young friend are missing, and as minutes turn to hours, panic sets in. The only lead is a dilapidated RV that had been parked on their street. Heading the investigation, Detective Loki arrests its driver, but a lack of evidence forces the only suspect’s release. Knowing his child’s life is at stake, the frantic Dover decides he has no choice but to take matters into his own hands. The desperate father will do whatever it takes to find the girls, but in doing so, may lose himself, begging the question: When do you cross the line between seeking justice and becoming a vigilante?
