Producer Jerry Bruckheimer Tweets a Nice Photo of Captain Jack Sparrow on the Set of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer is currently tweeting photos from the set of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.  His latest is a nice photo of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in silhouette.  I’m not exactly why his sword is drawn, but maybe Jack has now becoming enemies with the horizon.  Anything is possible in these movies.

While I know a lot of people soured on the franchise after the sequels, I’m still looking forward to the fourth film.  I presume Bruckheimer must be as well after this summer’s double-misfire of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.  Hit the jump to check out the image.  Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is slated to open on May 20, 2011.

For those just tuning in, here’s the official synopsis for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides:

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides captures the fun, adventure and humor that ignited the hit franchise -this time in Disney Digital 3D(TM). In this action-packed tale of truth, betrayal, youth and demise, Captain Jack Sparrow crosses paths with a woman from his past (Penelope Cruz), and he’s not sure if it’s love-or if she’s a ruthless con artist who’s using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the Queen Anne’s Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn’t know who to fear more: Blackbeard or the woman from his past.

    I think that's Penelope Cruz actually…

Sorry, but our whole group loved Sorecer's Apprentice and Prince of Persia…Critics are always off the mark when it regards the masses. And they are no experts themselves no matter what people think…

I didn't see PoP, but I'm pretty positive there were no masses hitting Sorcerer's Apprentice, or really anyone at all and with good reason. Wish I was one of them. Terrible, terrible movie.

As for the pic… could be from any of the pirate flicks or really any random person in a pirate costume. meh.
