While the first three Steven Soderbergh directed Oceans movies (Oceans Eleven, Oceans Twelve and Oceans Thirteen) have grossed over a billion dollars worldwide, producer Jerry Weintraub said he won’t be making Oceans Fourteen. He said this last night at the Milken Institute Global Conference, where he was telling the standing-room-only crowd stories of his history in Hollywood and how he first got into the business. THR has a good write-up on the event.
Of course even though Weintraub says he won’t make Oceans 14, I’m sure if Soderbergh and the rest of the cast decided to do one more at some point down the road, everyone would have a change of heart. While some didn’t enjoy Oceans 12 or 13 as much as the first film, I really enjoy the series and would welcome another movie down the road. I don’t know of another franchise that has so many great actors having so much fun on screen.

Soderbergh, Clooney and Damon have all said there will be no other film because they would never do one without Bernie Mac. End of story.

The oceans movie were all crap to me. It seems like the only thing they succeeded in doing was showing how pretty Clooney and Pitt were. And the 2nd one with Julia was HAM CITY.
As for Bernie Mack, he was a great comedian but his part in the oceans movies were underwhelming IMHO. The real stars of that junk franchise were Carl Reiner and Elliot Gould. Old school baby.

sir,i am from India. im a fan of oceans series, watchd all its parts many times…. and cant wait for another great series, plz do oceans 14… atleast for all millions of fans waiting eagerly…. so sad about bernie mac… but,life goes on from there,so shud be the movie… plz bring back the movie.. n make oceans 14 for us…. lets hope so..
I think “Ocean’s 10″ (or lucky “7″)….makes sense…. there’s an issue with “14″ being too many characters…. solve multiple sequel problems at once, by going DOWN in number…. focus things…..
If anyone meets Jerry Weintruab and Steven Soderburgh in Los Angeles, it might be worth mentioning to them that Ocean films can now be made as Oceans 7, Oceans 8, Oceans 9 etc.! This is because at least seven of the characters are so strong that they can carry any reasonable script and one idea might be smashing Texas No Limit Poker events…..there’s a lot of ideas in that world and so current too! Good luck the Oceans teams!
