If you were a fan of The Hangover but felt that their target demographic was far too old, well you’re in luck! From producer Todd Phillips (The Hangover) comes Project X, high school’s answer to a well-meaning party that gets blown out of control. We brought you the first trailer for the film way back in November, but as this is a new year, of course we have a new trailer for you!

Directed by Nima Nourizadeh, the film stars Thomas Mann, Miles Teller, Oliver Cooper, Jonathan Daniel Brown, Kirby Bliss Blanton, Dax Flame, Nichole O’Connor, and Alexis Knapp. Project X opens March 12th, 2012. Hit the jump to check out the trailer and a new poster.

Honestly, Project X looks like it took the best parts of The Hangover, Superbad and several other movies (even Lethal Weapon 4?) and slapped them all together with fantastic results. This might be the most fun movie of the year, regardless of the “found footage” shtick. Watch the ridiculous new trailer for Project X below. Click over to Apple to watch in HD.

Check out the synopsis for Project X below:

“Project X” follows three seemingly anonymous high school seniors as they attempt to finally make a name for themselves. Their idea is innocent enough: let’s throw a party that no one will forget… but nothing could prepare them for this party. Word spreads quickly as dreams are ruined, records are blemished and legends are born. “Project X” is a warning to parents and police everywhere.

This film has been rated R for crude and sexual content throughout, nudity, drugs, drinking, pervasive language, reckless behavior and mayhem-all involving teens.

And here’s a new poster from IMPAwards:

Yo, Miles Teller is in this, but the main character is actually played by THOMAS MANN.

  • GoodPOINT

    that looks fucking epic.

Eh… although the general plot is a bit different it reminds me a bit too much of last year’s stinker “The Virginity Hit”

  • Warpcrafter

That is the party every teenager dreams of, but never actually happens. Hell yes I’m going to see it, just to bring back memories of my wasted youth.

The part about warning parents and police sounds lame (like they don’t know what a bunch of stupid asses teens are, this isn’t the 1950′s), but the Director is awesome, so it could be good

  • Miles

Awesome…now I have to deal with that kid’s mother when this turd comes out. you know that one whose son died by getting smashed against a tree while he was doing some homo ass rollerblading or something.

Dax Flame? Dax Flame?? I mean, I know joining SAG forces you to get a little creative sometimes, but come on, man.
