The marketing train for director Ridley Scott’s Prometheus continues to roll on, and the first clip from the film has now surfaced online. By now I don’t really think any more convincing to see the pic is necessary, but for those of you interested in seeing more from Scott’s return to sci-fi, this clip should serve as a nice appetizer. Said clip features the ship Prometheus landing on the planet we’ve seen so much of already, with Logan Marshall-Green delivering a particularly eerie line. If you missed the interview with screenwriter Damon Lindelof in which he talked about how he turned an Alien prequel into Prometheus, trying not to reveal too much in trailers, the viral campaign and much more I highly suggest you check it out.

Seems very abbreviated I think there will be more scenes to the landing than just this.
I hope that this Scene will be a long one. Maybe nearly like The Beginning of Alien. Long shots. Huge Planets. And you begin to realize and feel loneliness. No one is out there except the Ship and the Team. I hope they have not forget this piece of “The Rules of Horror Movies”.
Also it has to be longer. I don’t want to pay 13 Euros for the Movie, watching it in 3D and missing this beautiful VFX Planet with clouds etc.

Am I the only one to see a huge error in this clip? Idris isn’t wearing a hat, then is, then isn’t. How can the filmmakers and Fox not see this and then release it as the first clip for promotional purposes? Pay attention to detail, people! I watched it once and noticed it.

i have a question , feel free to call me names after, but im curious about the image displayed above. If fassbender is an android ,why does he need an astronaut suit to breathe in?
I’m not a scientist nor a cult follower of the Aliens franchise but a couple reasons could be: (i) they don’t know it’s an android (they didn’t know in the original ‘Alien’ movie) (ii) Even if they do know it’s an android it just allows it to integrate/socialize more effectively with the crew and not constantly draw attention to the fact that it isn’t human (iii) even though it isn’t human it’s still matter and needs to be pressurized for that sake, and not necessarily to breathe (??). Like I said, I’m no scientist and haven’t been following the details of the Fassbender character so this could be complete b.s. I’m spewing.
I got the sense that this was edited to be shorter than what we’ll see in the actual film, but still looks awesome nonetheless!
