A new clip from Prometheus has popped up online, but I’m not watching it. If I didn’t have to review the movie, I probably wouldn’t mind viewing it, but I’m keeping my pledge to go as radio-silent as possible (it’s tough to avoid TV spots). However, if you don’t care about going in cold, then you can check the clip out after the jump.
The film stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Logan Marshall-Green, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Rafe Spall, and Guy Pearce. Prometheus opens in 3D on June 8th.

And here’s the official synopsis for Prometheus:
Ridley Scott, director of “Alien” and “Blade Runner,” returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

I understand they’re trying to promote the movie, but the amount of clips/footage that has been released is insane. Seems like half the movie will be available in one form or another before it’s released. I stopped watching after the second trailer.
for the record- there’s really not much spoilery stuff here. they’re just talking and what exactly they’re talking about is very obscure without context.
You say you have to review the film. Is there going to be an advance screening for critics and when?
Bring on Ridley Scott and his science fiction; I think all his films are fabulous, but I have a particular love for E.T. and spaceships. I’m ready to go to the darkest corners of the universe with director Mr. Scott at the helm. I am getting ready to launch a website dedicated to directors and their influence on film throughout their career, which I work on during my frequent business trips for Dish. I’m starting with Ridley Scott simply because he rocks; I can research his older work with movies by mail using Blockbuster @Home. I subscribe because of the variety in the selection; by the time “Prometheus” is out on DVD I’ll be ready to launch the site. I’m excited it will be my first website.
