Releasing teasers to build anticipation for new trailers has almost become commonplace, but today I’m not complaining. A trailer for the full trailer for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus has gone online, and I’m more than happy to soak up each and every new bit of footage I can get my hands on for the upcoming sci-fi pic. There’s only a few seconds of new footage, but it’s enough to appease fans until Scott himself debuts the new trailer on March 17th in Anaheim (it’ll be online immediately following the event). We previously reported that Scott will be hosting a trailer premiere event at Downtown Disney with screenwriter Damon Lindelof, followed by a Q&A. The two will be onhand earlier that day for the Prometheus panel at WonderCon, where I’m assuming they’ll also show off the new trailer. Until then, enjoy this new trailer for the new trailer.

Um, for me…Prometheus is BEFORE all of those. This is the movie *I* am waiting for this year!! This is a Ridley Scott film…and Ridley doing science fiction again. Everything else pales in comparison. I would go so far as to say you CAN’T compare the others to this film!!!
If ANYTHING deserves a trailer for a trailer…it’s this.
