A new TV spot for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus has landed. The 30-second clip does a great job of selling the sci-fi pic to general audiences, as it touts Scott’s filmography and highlights the story, horror, and action. Us fanboys in the know are already head over heels for this thing, and I think this TV spot does a great job of hyping up anticipation for those unaware that a semi Alien prequel was on the way. The spot isn't without merit for those in the know, as it does include a bit of new footage to tide us over for the time-being.

Hit the jump to watch the spot. The film stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Logan Marshall-Green and Idris Elba. Prometheus opens in 3D on June 8th.
