A new TV spot for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus has landed. The 30-second clip does a great job of selling the sci-fi pic to general audiences, as it touts Scott’s filmography and highlights the story, horror, and action. Us fanboys in the know are already head over heels for this thing, and I think this TV spot does a great job of hyping up anticipation for those unaware that a semi Alien prequel was on the way. The spot isn’t without merit for those in the know, as it does include a bit of new footage to tide us over for the time-being.
Hit the jump to watch the spot. The film stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Logan Marshall-Green and Idris Elba. Prometheus opens in 3D on June 8th.
Here’s the official synopsis for Prometheus:
Ridley Scott, director of “Alien” and “Blade Runner,” returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

someone fucking tell me that the awesome ass music in these trailers is from the film’s score.
Way too few films actually incorporate their music in the trailers. The Hobbit’s the only recent one I can think of that does this.
Here the german trailer with a lot more new footage…. and explanations
