Exclusive: Unlock an Emotion for PROMETHEUS’ Android, “David 8″ (Michael Fassbender)

Today, we showed you the awesome viral ad for “David 8″, the Weyland Industries android played by Michael Fassbender in Ridley Scott‘s Prometheus.  We’ve also been sent an exclusive new piece of the viral puzzle.  The code allows those skilled in the viral-decoding ways to unlock one of eight emotions for David.  I don’t know what emotion it will be, but I’m crossing my fingers for “I’m going to creep you the fuck out”-face.

Here’s the official synopsis for Prometheus:

  1. Perhaps I am reading too much into this viral video, but there are two things about it that I wonder if they could be foreshadowing ominous plot points about David in the movie:

    1. He cries when asked to “think” of the things that makes him “sad.”

    2. The close-up of his right hand holding the pen (or stylus), which looks like it has an unusually sharp tip.

  2. i enjoy Mr. Fassbender and the intent of this “advertisement” but felt it is wholly outside the tempo Prometheus has set. Perhaps the promotional onslaught is tipping the scale in the incorrect and slightly desperate direction when it certainly doesn’t need to.

  3. I found it fascinating that he cried when talking about understanding human emotion, but not being able to emulate it.

    • He meant the actual emotion. But he can emulate the biological aspect, ie crying so he seem more human.

      ps: Could you maybe work on your comments system? It’s such an ancient fossil. Security code every time, really? come on
