With the sci-fi action movie "Battle: Los Angeles" set to start filming this week in New Orleans, director Jonathan Liebesman has added a few more soldiers to his platoon - the kind of soldiers that can act one hopes. Among LA's new recruits are "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" star Ramon Rodriguez and R & B singer Ne-Yo. More after the jump.
"Battle: Los Angeles" stars Aaron Eckhart as a platoon commander who leads his soldiers against an invading alien army on the streets of... you guessed it! Los Angeles. Bridget Moynahan, Michael Pena and Michelle Rodriguez co-star in the film from the director of "Darkness Falls" and "Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning".
Rodriguez, who made a name for himself playing side-kick to Shia LeBeouf in "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" this summer, will play a member of Eckhart's platoon. Ne-Yo, the latest entrepreneurial singer to try his luck in front of the camera, will play a corporal in the film.
Columbia Pictures will release "Battle: Los Angeles" in theatres on February 18, 2011
