Tuesday TV Ratings: GO ON Rebounds, THE NEW NORMAL Up, NEW GIRL Dips

Tuesday evening’s TV ratings are in.  Here’s a brief look at the highlights:

  • Thanks to the return of The Voice as its lead-in, NBC’s comedy series Go On rebounded extremely well from last week’s series low 1.0 rating, scoring a 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demo and 5.64 million viewers for a rise of one and a half ratings points.
  • Also up on NBC was The New Normal, which hit a 1.4 rating and 3.58 million viewers.  That’s up seven tenths from last week’s 0.7 rating.
  • Over at Fox, New Girl was down a tenth from last week’s 1.7 rating, scoring a 2.2 rating and 4.26 million viewers.

FOX

  • new-girl-chicagoA Margo Martindale-infused episode of New Girl garnered a 2.2 rating and 4.26 million viewers for a drop of one tenth from last week’s 1.7 rating.
  • The Mindy Project was also down, hitting a 1.5 rating and 2.81 million viewers for a drop of two tenths from last week’s 1.7 rating.

ABC

  • Body of Proof appears to be on the uptick as it scored a season high 1.7 rating and 9.58 million viewers last night.  That’s up two tenths from last week’s season high 1.5 rating.

NBC

  • the-new-normal-about-a-boy-scoutLast night’s episode of Go On hit a 2.1 rating and 5.64 million viewers, which is up a full point and a tenth from last week’s series low 1.0 rating.  You can thank The Voice and Courteney Cox for the uptick.
  • Also up was The New Normal, which notched a 1.4 rating and 3.58 million viewers for a rise of seven tenths from last week’s 0.7 rating.
  • Even Smash was up last night, garnering a 1.0 rating and 3.11 million viewers.  That’s up three tenths from last week’s series low 0.7 rating.

CBS

  • The procedural favorite NCIS notched a 3.1 rating and 18.06 million viewers, making it the most-watched program of the night.  That’s down a tenth from last week’s 3.2 rating.
  • NCIS: Los Angeles scored a 2.6 rating and 14.32 million viewers for a drop of three tenths from last week’s 2.9 rating.
  • New series Golden Boy earned a 1.4 rating and 8.08 million viewers, which is down three tenths from last week’s 1.7 rating.
