TV ratings for Thursday, October 9th are in.  Here’s a brief look at the highlights:

  • Fresh off a full-season pickup, ABC’s How to Get Away with Murder was the highest rated scripted program of the night with a 3.1 rating in the 18-49 demo and 10.71 million viewers, which is down two tenths from last week.  Judging from its record-breaking DVR performance, expect that number to go up even further in the Live+3 ratings.  Elsewhere on the network, Grey’s Anatomy dipped two tenths to a 2.4 rating and 8.41 million viewers and Scandal (read Allison's recap here) slipped four tenths to a 3.0 rating and 9.5 million viewers.
  • Fox’s Gracepoint (read Allison's recap here) was down three tenths in week two to a 0.98 rating and 3.91 million viewers, while Bones was even with last week’s 1.5 rating and scored 6.28 million viewers.
  • Over on NBC, Bad Judge matched last week’s 1.3 rating and scored 5.2 million viewers, A to Z dropped two tenths to a 1.0 rating and 3.64 million viewers, and Parenthood was even with last week’s 1.3 rating and garnered 4.26 million viewers.
  • The CW’s The Vampire Diaries garnered a 0.7 rating and scored 1.65 million viewers, which is down two tenths from last week.  Reign was even with a 0.4 rating and 1.12 million viewers.
