
Most every Wednesday night program was up versus last week’s Hurricane Sandy-impacted numbers. Briefly:
- Comedy favorite Modern Family scored a major uptick, landing a 4.7 rating and 12.29 million viewers versus last week’s 4.2 rating in the 18-49 demo.
- New series Chicago Fire, which had been struggling week-to-week, hit a season high 2.3 rating and 7.09 million viewers against last week’s 1.6 rating.
- Arrow matched its season high, scoring a 1.3 rating and 3.7 million viewers. That’s a rise from last week’s 1.0 rating.

ABC
Comedy series The Middle hit a 2.8 rating and 3.11 million viewers, up from the last new episode’s 2.6 rating.- New comedy The Neighbors was up from last week’s 1.9 rating to a 2.1 and 7 million viewers.
- Modern Family soared with a 4.7 rating and 12.29 million viewers in the demo over last week’s 4.2 rating.
- Critical darling Suburgatory earned a 2.9 rating and 7.64 million viewers, up from the 2.4 rating it received last week.
- New drama series Nashville finally got some good news as this week’s episode was up to a 2.0 rating and 6 million viewers over last week’s series low 1.8.
NBC
- NBC’s new drama series Chicago Fire was up 27% with a 2.3 rating and 7.09 million viewers versus last week’s 1.6 rating thanks to its new lead-in The Voice.
CBS
Criminal Minds was up a tenth in the demo with a 3.0 rating and 12.03 million viewers over last week’s 2.9 rating.- The lone scripted series to see a decline was CSI, which hit a 2.3 rating and 10.31 million viewers. That’s down a tenth from last week’s 2.4 rating.
The CW
- New series Arrow had its best numbers since its series premiere with a 1.3 rating and 3.7 million viewers. That’s a rise from last week’s 1.0 rating.
- Supernatural was also up, garnering a 1.0 rating and 2.31 million viewers over last week’s 0.8 rating.
