Thursday evening’s TV ratings are in. Here’s a brief rundown:
- NBC offered a “bonus night” of Olympics coverage ahead of the official opening ceremonies tonight, scoring a 5.8 rating in the 18-49 demo and 19.56 million viewers.
- Opposite the Olympics preview, CBS’ The Big Bang Theory dipped 4% to a 5.0 rating and scored 17.02 million viewers. The Millers rose 4% to a 2.67 rating and 10.93 million viewers, The Crazy Ones dropped 11% to a series low 1.7 rating and 7.55 million viewers, Two and a Half Men notched a series low 1.8 rating and 8.13 million viewers, and Elementary was down 5% to a 1.8 rating and 9.33 million viewers.
- Over on Fox, the new drama series Rake dropped 15% to a 1.1 rating and 4.34 million viewers.
- The CW’s The Vampire Diaries was down 18% to a series low-tying 0.9 rating and 2.13 million viewers and Reign was even with last week’s series low 0.6 rating and 1.66 million viewers.
