The Following was a fairly frustrating show to watch for most of the season. The two leads kept my attention, though. However, the last 20 minutes of the season finale was so contrived and ill-conceived to the point of being intolerable. I can’t recall a worst season ending in all of the years I’ve watched television. What the author of this article calls ‘meta’ I have a more apropos 4 letter word for. I won’t be following this show next season.
