Monday evening’s TV ratings are in.  Here’s a brief look at the highlights:

  • The season finale of Fox’s The Following (which was quite meta in its predictability) hit a 2.6 rating in the 18-49 demo and 7.77 million viewers.  That’s up 8% from last week’s 2.4 rating.  The show has already been renewed for a second season.
  • Also having its season finale on Fox was Bones, which scored a 2.1 rating and 7.11 million viewers for a rise of one tenth from last week’s 2.0 rating and 11% from last year’s season finale rating of 1.9.
  • NBC’s Revolution, however, tied its series low with a 2.0 rating and 5.81 million viewers.  That’s even with last week’s performance.

CBS

    Barney’s Bachelor Party episode of How I Met Your Mother garnered a 2.7 rating and 6.89 million viewers, which is even with the show’s last original episode.
  • The comedy Rules of Engagement marked a rise of 25% from last week’s 1.6 rating with a 2.0 rating and 6 million viewers.
  • Also up was 2 Broke Girls, which notched a 2.5 rating and 7.69 million viewers.  That’s up 4% from its last original episode’s 2.4 rating.
  • Mike & Molly scored a 2.3 rating and 7.93 million viewers, which is up 5% from its last original episode’s 2.2 rating.
  • The drama series Hawaii Five-0 notched a series low 1.7 rating and 7.69 million viewers, dropping 6% from its last new episode’s 1.8 rating.

FOX

  • The season finale of Bones scored a 2.1 rating and 7.11 million viewers, which is up from last week’s 2.0 rating and also up from last year’s season finale rating of 1.9.
  • The first season finale of The Following hit a 2.6 rating and 7.77 million viewers fro a rise of 8% from last week’s 2.4 rating.  The serial killer drama is also one of the biggest gainers from DVR-infused viewing.

ABC

  • Over at ABC, Castle hit a 2.0 rating and 10.63 million viewers, making it the most-watched scripted program of the night.  Nevertheless, the rating was down 13% from last week’s 2.3.

The CW

  • 90210 notched a 0.2 rating and 520,000 viewers, which is a drop of 33% from last week’s 0.3 rating.
