Last night only a few programs aired new episodes, but here are the TV ratings for Monday evening:

• Fox’s increasingly-violent The Following notched a 2.6 rating and 8 million viewers, which is down two tenths from last week’s 2.8 rating.  The episode was the second highest-rated program on TV last night against a slew of reruns.
• Over at CBS, the comedy Rules of Engagement keeps on slipping as last night’s episode notched a 2.0 rating and 7 million viewers for a new season-low performance.  That’s down two tenths from last week’s season low 2.2 rating.
• Finally, The CW’s The Carrie Diaries was even with last week’s 0.4 rating and scored 1.12 million viewers, while the departing 90210 hit a 0.2 rating and 680,000 viewers for a drop of one tenth from last week’s rating.
