  • The CW’s The Vampire Diaries was also up, earning an impressive 1.3 rating and 2.84 million viewers, which is up 30% from last week’s 1.0 rating.
  • ABC’s spinoff series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, on the other hand, plummeted 29% from last week’s 1.7 rating to a 1.2 rating and 4.5 million viewers.
  • CBS’ better-than-you-think drama series Elementary notched a new series low 1.6 rating and 8.41 million viewers, which is down 16% from last week’s 1.9 rating.

Hit the jump for the full ratings report for Thursday, October 17th, including Parenthood, Reign, Scandal, The Big Bang Theory, and more.

CBS

  • the-big-bang-theory-the-workplace-proximityThe Big Bang Theory stood head and shoulders above everything else on Thursday (surprise, surprise), scoring a 4.9 rating in the 18-49 demo and 17.2 million viewers.  That’s down 4% from last week’s 5.1 rating.
  • The new comedy series The Millers (the one with Margo Martindale and fart jokes) continues to do well, notching a 3.2 rating and 12.17 million viewers, rising 7% from last week’s 3.0 rating.
  • The Crazy Ones was also up, hitting a 2.5 rating and 9.53 million viewers, which is up 4% from last week’s 2.4 rating.
  • Meanwhile, Two and a Half Men scored a series low 2.1 rating and 8.52 million viewers, which is down 9% from last week’s 2.3 rating.
  • The drama series Elementary also earned a series low with a 1.6 rating and 8.41 million viewers, dropping 16% from last week’s 1.9 rating.

NBC

  • NBC’s Thursday night lineup continues to pale in comparison to CBS, as Parks and Recreation garnered a 1.3 rating and 3.25 million viewers.  Nevertheless, that’s up 8% from last week’s 1.2 rating.
  • The new comedy series Welcome to the Family scored a 0.9 rating and 2.45 million viewers, which is up a tad from last week’s 0.8 rating.
  • Sean Saves the World was also up, earning a 1.1 rating and 3.37 million viewers versus last week’s 1.0 rating.
  • The Michael J Fox Show was even with last week’s 1.2 rating and scored 3.53 million viewers.
  • Ending the night, Parenthood notched a 1.3 rating and 3.95 million viewers, which is up 8% from last week’s series low 1.2 rating.

ABC

  • scandal-mrs-smith-goes-to-washingtonThe spinoff series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland can’t quite match the sparkle of the original’s first season, as last night’s episode dropped a significant 29% from last week’s 1.7 rating, earning a 1.2 rating in the demo and 4.5 million viewers.
  • Grey’s Anatomy tied its series low with a 2.6 rating and 8.58 million viewers, which is down 7% from last week’s 2.8 rating.
  • Shonda Rhimes’ other series, Scandal continues to dominate Thursday night’s dramas, as last night’s episode hit a 3.3 rating and 9.48 million viewers for a rise of 6% from last week’s 3.1 rating.

The CW

  • The Vampire Diaries notched a 1.3 rating and 2.84 million viewers, rising 30% from last week’s 1.0 rating and putting the show at number three in its timeslot against the Big Four networks.
  • The series premiere of Reign garnered a 0.8 rating and 2 million viewers, which is down 33% from last year’s series premiere of Beauty and the Beast in the same time period.  That said, Reign doesn’t exactly have the same name recognition as that series.
