Ray Liotta, Ving Rhames, and Christian Slater have joined the indie crime thriller The River Sorrow. Per Variety, Sorrow “centers on a detective, played by Liotta, on the trail of a serial killer. Slater will play an FBI agent overseeing the case while Rhames is Liotta’s friend and captain.” Rich Cowan will direct from a script by Steve Anderson.
Liotta most recently costarred in Charlie St. Cloud. Rhames is reprising his role as Luther Stickell in the fourth Mission: Impossible movie, which shoots at the end of the year. Slater recently shot the crime thriller Guns, Girls, & Gambling with Gary Oldman and Dane Cook. Shooting on The River Sorrow begins next week in Washington.
