What if Will Smith had agreed to play Neo in the Wachowski Brothers Matrix movie? Or if Johnny Depp had been Ferris Bueller in John Hughes classic Ferris Beuller’s Day Off? What about Madonna in The Fabulous Baker Boys instead of Michelle Pfeiffer, or Eddie Murphy as Eddie Valiant in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
When movies are being put together, often the first actor the studio or director offers the part to doesn’t want to star in the movie. Sometimes it’s a good thing, but often we’re left wondering what would the film have been like if that person had agreed to be in it.
While we might not have any video evidence, you can see some re-imagined movie posters for these films after the jump. Included are The Matrix, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Fabulous Baker Boys, Footloose, JFK, Lord of the Rings, and a few others.
For more “what if” posters, go to moviefone. The posters were done by Dustin Glick.

I can totally see Mel Gibson's Garrison hunting down jews..
lol, its funny because the actors who played in all of those movies are iconic. Changing the roles now just seems preposterous. Which is why its so funny. I especially find Ferris Bueller funny. The movie was only so special because of Broderick, I'm just not sure Depp could've carried the role so eloquently.
will smith was actually one of the choices to play Neo…
