Here’s something that’s funny: the regular all-audiences trailer for “Funny People” showcases both the film’s humor and it’s drama. Since that’s been out for months how, I’m guessing that Universal is guessing that everyone knows that Sandler’s character, George Simmons, is dying but has a second chance at life. This allows them to go full-on with the comedy and they do not miss. I caught this trailer last night at a screening of “Bruno” and it’s what you would expect from a Judd Apatow movie, i.e. greatness.
