Director John McTiernan has made some truly great films in the past like Die Hard and The Hunt for Red October, so it comes with some degree of anticipation that he’s currently prepping his next project after he completes his prison sentence in connection with the Anthony Pellicano wiretapping scandal.  Steve attended the European Film Market (EFM) in Berlin last week and was able to pick up some promo images and posters from a few upcoming films, one of which is McTiernan’s next film Red Squad.  The story revolves around a former DEA agent “with a rogue streak” and his team of mercenaries who descend upon a Mexican border town in order to neutralize a drug lord.  Though there are no actors attached at the moment, this promo poster certainly teases an intense confrontation.
