Warner Bros. has done a little release date shuffling with two of their upcoming films. They’ve moved Catherine Hardwicke’s Red Riding Hood up from April 22, 2011 to March 11, 2011. The gothic-horror starring Amanda Seyfried will now go up against the Aaron Eckhart sci-fi horror Battle: Los Angeles, the family film Mars Needs Moms, and a new adaptation of Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre.
Taking Red Riding Hood‘s April 22nd date is the Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling comedy Crazy Stupid Love. The film is about a single father (Carell) who tries to learn the ways of womanizing when his wife leaves him for another man. Crazy Stupid Love will compete at the box office with Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family and the Christina Ricci comedy Born to Be a Star. [Box Office Mojo]

Provided Hardwicke doesn't f**k it up, GIRL WITH THE RED RIDING HOOD could be cool if they stick close to the original script and don't TWILIGHT it up.
