A new featurette for Summit Entertainment’s Remember Me has been released.  Starring Robert Pattinson, Emilie De Ravin, Pierce Brosnan, Chris Cooper and Lena Olin, Remember Me is a love story set in New York City.

While movie studios have been making deal after deal for Taylor Lautner, after Remember Me opens, the same might happen for Rob Pattinson.  This is the film that shows Hollywood if he’s a bankable leading man outside of Twilight.  I think he is.

Hit the jump to learn more about the film and watch the cast talk about working with Pattinson.

Here’s the official synopsis:

In the romantic drama Remember Me, Robert Pattinson plays Tyler, a rebellious young man in New York City who has a strained relationship with his father (Pierce Brosnan) ever since tragedy separated their family.  Tyler didn’t think anyone could possibly understand what he was going through until the day he met Ally (Emilie de Ravin) through an unusual twist of fate.  Love was the last thing on his mind, but as her spirit unexpectedly heals and inspires him, he begins to fall for her.  Through their love, he begins to find happiness and meaning in his life.  But soon, hidden secrets are revealed, and the circumstances that brought them together slowly threaten to tear them apart.  Remember Me is an unforgettable story about the power of love, the strength of family, and the importance of living passionately and treasuring every day of one’s life.

Finally, I’ll be interviewing the cast of Remember Me in the next few weeks, so make sure to check back closer to release to see them.

Uh…Rob's had deals in the making for months. He has Bel Ami, Unbound Captives, and Water for Elephants all in the works. He's hardly been pining away while Taylor gets all the offers.

  • Jane

Uh, Rob's signed on for 3 non-Twilight movies at the moment. He's hardly waiting in vain for offers. He's been getting them non-stop for the past year.

  • Georgie

Not to take anything away from TL, but, there is a difference between not getting offers and taking every offer you get.

Well, I'm sure he's mourning that he missed out on that plum Stretch Armstrong role. I can't imagine the competition involved in landing that one.

Are you aware that KSTEW411 is retweeting this tweet of yours but editing the word “separately” out?:

“okay TWILIGHT Fans. I’m speaking with Kristen and Rob (separately) over the next week. Email me some good Twilight related questions”

I am happy to hear that you'll get to interview the cast of Remember me and I am looking forward to see/read those interviews.
But please do your research before reporting. According to Variety Pattinson is on every studio's wish list and has plenty of offers. He is very picky though when it comes to scripts and fans feel very grateful that he is because currently Robert is involved in at least 3 post-Twilight projects. All of these projects have great scripts. I prefer to see actors to do one movie a year or less than churn up lots of low level fluff.

i'm happy to see all the comments before mine, that people are defending robert pattinson even if they may or may not like the twilight movies. i don't know much about robert pattinson and i have yet to watch twilight or new moon, but i agree that he mostly chooses to participate in interesting films, as opposed to stuff like “stretch armstrong” and all the other movies taylor lautner has attached himself to. it's like he's desperate; i know he's very young but still. i'd also like to add that robert pattinson has been in other non-twilight movies even before “remember me” — “little ashes” and “how to be”.
