RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION Retrospective Recaps the Previous Four Films

     August 17, 2012

In case you’ve missed any of the installments of the Resident Evil franchise since its feature film inception back in 2002, we’ve got a retrospective video to get you caught up before Resident Evil: Retribution debuts in theaters September 14th.  The fifth iteration, directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, follows the continuing adventures of Alice (Milla Jovovich) and resistance fighters battling against the Umbrella Corporation and the undead.  Resident Evil: Retribution also stars Michelle Rodriguez, Sienna Guillory, Oded Fehr, Boris Kodjoe, Bingbing Li and Kevin Durand.  Hit the jump to check out the video recap.

This Resident Evil recap of the films (which increase in crazy and, in my opinion, decrease in quality) is brought to you by Kotaku.  Have a look, followed by the official synopsis for Resident Evil: Retribution.

The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, Alice (Milla Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella’s most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun.

    Make it stop……….please…

It will continue as long as she still looks fantastic kicking zombie ass.
It would be nice if the last film turned out to be a dream and she still had her superpowers, though.

All these articles Collider’s doing on the new Resident Evil movie is honestly making me want to go see it on the big IMAX 3d screen opening weekend……NOT!!!
The only way I’d see this hunk of crap looking movie is if it’s playing on basic cable and the batteries on my remote control die. Or if I’m kidnapped and my kidnappers make me watch it to torture me. They’d have to tie me to a chair and force my eyes open like they did to Malcolm McDowell in A Clockwork Orange to make me watch it. But I’d fight them tooth and nail.
But to be fair this movie looks like it’s gonna suck.
