David Mirkin (The Simpsons Movie) is set to write and direct a film based on the memoir of billionaire Richard Branson, Losing My Virginity.  Per Variety, "The autobiography, published in 1998 and updated in 2005, focuses on Branson's rags-to-riches tale as an entrepreneur with roots in the music business, as well as his love for death-defying stunts, including riding across the Atlantic Ocean in hot-air balloons."  However, as far as death-defying stunts go, that was a little lame.  It's hard to see what's "death-defying" in a slow-moving contraption that can be made to look like Darth Vader.  If Branson had died this way, the reaction would have been, "Oh...so that's how you die when you have too much money."

Branson recently launched "Virgin Produced" as a film and TV development company.  He's currently set to produce a biopic about Christopher Columbus with McG attached to direct.
