Because there hasn’t been enough talk about awards show hosts and controversies lately, it now looks like Ricky Gervais will be returning as the host of the Golden Globes. As you probably remember, Gervais hosted the ceremony last year and came under fire for being too much like Ricky Gervais. Personally, I didn’t even think Gervais was that “controversial”, but more than a few celebrities in attendance apparently took offense and the Office actor has been talking about it ever since. Showblitz reports that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has voted to have the comedian return.
Gervais revealed this past February that organizers had asked him to consider returning, but the HFPA responding with a resounding “false”. It looks as though they either changed their mind or were so embarrassed by Gervais’ outing of their proposition that they decided to lie. An official deal isn’t yet in place, but both parties are in agreement and Gervais is poised to host what’s sure to be an interesting ceremony come January.

F*** Yeah!
I loved him last Golden Globes.
I’d like to see him even more outrageously insulting tirades from Ricky Gervais about everyone in Hollywood.
It will be his 3rd time hosting the event and I would like to see him co-hosting this time with another comedian to bounce off each other and make it more interesting.
It could also be him passing the baton to a younger comedian and set up a new comedian host who can return and who is a Ricky Gervais level player.
Oh please oh please oh please dress like Hitler this time.
My oh my! The HFPA really have a death-wish don’t they??
Heck yeah…Ricky FTW!!!
If only we can have Ricky for the Oscars…^^
