If you’re wondering how Ridley Scott keeps so busy, it’s because he’s attached to about 5,236 different project at any one time. That’s how he’s come out with eight films in the last ten years. While we won’t be getting a Scott film this year, he’s currently hard at work at the Alien-prequel-but-not-an-Alien-prequel, Prometheus. He’s also continuing to attach himself to new movies, the latest being the Cold War drama Reykjavik.
ScreenDaily reports that the film, written by Kevin Hood (Becoming Jane), “is about the meeting between US president Ronald Reagan and Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev in the mid-1980s which helped bring about the end of the Cold War.” Headline Pictures will develop along with Participant Media. Hit the jump for a refresher on other movies Scott might make once he’s finished with Prometheus, which opens in 3D on June 8, 2012.
Scott is also attached to:
- One of two films that could re-team Scott with Leonardo DiCaprio: Gucci, and Brave New World.
- His infamous Monopoly movie.
- A remake of the British Red Riding trilogy written by Steve Zaillian.
- The vampire flick The Passage from screenwriter John Logan.
- A Gertrude Bell biopic.
