The 2012 Licensing Expo is currently underway in Las Vegas, and it’s brought the first looks at some posters for 2013 and 2014’s major films.  It’s also brought the announcement of Rio 2, which shouldn’t be too surprising since the original film grossed $484 million worldwide.  The Expo also showed off a nice, detailed look at some of the costumes from Zack Snyder‘s Superman reboot, Man of Steel.

Hit the jump for a first look at a gallery of the posters, which also includes R.I.P.D., Jurassic Park 3D, Robocop, Cloudy 2: Revenge of the Leftovers, After Earth, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, Epic, and Iron Man 3.

Update: We’ve now got video of the Man of Steel costumes.

Here’s the synopsis for Man of Steel:

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Cavill) is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.

Here’s the logline for Cloudy 2: Revenge of the Leftovers:

In the wake of the disastrous food storm at the end of the first movie, Flint Lockwood and friends are forced to leave their town of Swallow Falls.  But when it is discovered that sentient food beasts have overrun the island, they are asked to return to save the world…again.

Here’s the synopsis for After Earth:

Set 1000 years in the future, a boy navigates an abandoned Earth to save himself and his estranged father after their ship crashes.
