20th Century Fox has set a September 3rd release date for Robert Rodriguez’s Machete, Variety reports. Machete stars the always badass Danny Trejo as a Mexican ex-Federale out to hunt down the corrupt politician who betrayed him. Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, and Lindsay Lohan also star in the film, which was written by Rodriguez and directed by Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis. The film was produced by Robert Rodriguez, Elizabeth Avellan, Rick Schwartz, Aaron Kaufman and Iliana Nikolic. The Labor Day weekend release date puts Machete up against Born to Be a Star and The American, starring George Clooney. Rodriguez’s next film after Machete is Predators, which looks just about as awesome as watching Danny Trejo kick serious ass. Hit the jump if you never saw the Machete poster.

If those two topless girls are replaced by Jessica Alba and Lindsay Lohan this will be the greatest movie EVER.
is that the movie where Steven Seagal sexually harasses all these girls..? or was that the real life..? I'm confused..

I love Robert Rodriguez films, but this one is going to be over the top. White racists who want to murder all illegal immigrants is too much. Portraying peaceful tea party gatherings as bigotted, hateful meetings of racists who want nothing more than to kill illegal immigrants is just wrong. I wish Mr. Rodriguez would have focused his attention on the atrocities in Mexico that are truly destroying the Mexican population. Drug cartels, corrupt government, kidnappings and trafficking are the true horrors, not white people in America. We love immigrants in the USA. We love Hispanics in the USA. We do not love criminal activity and the disregard of our national security, sovereignty, and law. Please come join our country, but do it the right way. Yes, we need to open the gate wider and make it easier to come in, but first we need to secure our borders and hold criminal behavior accountable, including illegal immigrants. I sure hope this movie flops because the Cinco De Mayo trailer I saw was hateful and race baiting and we do not need that in this country, we already have enough problems to overcome, we don't need to provoke more.
