Earlier today I attended the Los Angeles press day for âStar Trekâ. In the coming week Iâll be posting tons of video interviews, so get ready for an onslaught of Trek stuff. However, I did get an update on âCowboys and Aliensâ that I figured youâd like to hear about right now.
If you havenât heard about âCowboys and Aliensâ, itâs based on a comic of the same name and the premise is aliens land on Earth in the mid 1800âs. Their plan is to enslave humanity, but the cowboys and Native Americans have other plans. While I havenât read the comic, I have heard good things.
While I knew Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman (âTransformersâ, âStar Trekâ) were writing the project, I didnât know Damon Lindelof (âLostâ) was also writing it with them.
As someone who thinks âLostâ is the best show on television, anything that Damon Lindelof is involved with I care about.
Also, I saw âStar Trekâ last night, and once again Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman have shown they know what theyâre doing as âTrekâ was fantastic and something everyone involved with should be proud of. Hereâs my initial thoughts and some clips from the movie.
Anyhow, hereâs the part of my exclusive video interview with Roberto and Alex where they update us on the status of âCowboys and Aliensâ. They say theyâre hoping it goes later this year and there has been an enormous amount of calls about the project.
