And the marketing onslaught for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story continues. Disney has unveiled yet another “extended sneak peek” at Rogue One online, which is basically just a new trailer with some new bits of footage sprinkled throughout. The film revolves around the events leading up to A New Hope as Felicity Jones plays Jyn Erso, a woman tasked with assembling a diverse team to steal the plans for the Death Star. Godzilla and Monsters helmer Gareth Edwards directs, with Tony Gilroy (Michael Clayton) providing an assist in reshoots/post-production, and one thing that's clear from all the trailers and TV spots thus far is that Rogue One has an incredibly dynamic ensemble.

Indeed, the “hero crew” consists of Jones, Diego Luna, Donnie Yen, Wen Jiang, Riz Ahmed, and Alan Tudyk as the voice of droid K-2SO. That’s a refreshingly different kind of lineup that you normally see in Hollywood blockbusters, and is just one of the many different reasons Rogue One offers the promise of something quite unique for the tentpole genre.

There are some bits and pieces of new footage scattered throughout this new “sneak peek” video, but it’s mostly stuff we’ve seen before assembled in new ways. At this point, I’m sure many of you (like myself) are just ready to see the damn thing. Tickets go on sale on Monday, November 28th, so we’re nearly there folks.

Check out the new Rogue One trailer below. The film also stars Ben Mendelsohn, Forest Whitaker, and Mads Mikkelsen. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens in theaters on December 16th.
