With The Force Awakens well known to the public, it’s time to embrace in a new kind of Star Wars film, the very first spinoff. Gareth Edwards, director of Monsters and Godzilla, took charge this time around to give us an intense and grounded war film set in the Star Wars universe. While Star Wars films have always had some sort of war depicting scenes, Rogue One would stand out to give us a different look than we’ve seen before. The film stars Felicity Jones As Jyn Erso, daughter of Galen Erso, played by Mads Mikkelsen, Diego Luna as Cassian Andor and Ben Mendelsohn as Orson Krennic. The film also stars Donnie Yen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmad and Forest Whitaker.

In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.
