Today we have what looks like our first glimpse into the production of David Fincher's adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. You may recall that Rooney Mara was cast in the lead role of Lisbeth Salander less than three weeks ago. Fans of the book know Lisbeth is an avid motorcyclist, so this could just be Mara practicing for that side of the role --- a part of rehearsal. Though Rooney Mara Network does indicate that the photos were snapped "on location" in Sweden.

In any case, I'd advise against judging on the clothes, the setting, or the look of the character until we're further into production, and see something more official. Hit the jump for a synopsis of the book.
