Do you like running? Do you also like zombies? Have you been waiting in vain for someone to combine the two hobbies into one all-inclusive zombie running event? Well wait no more, as just such a thing now exists. “Run For Your Lives” is a zombie infested 5K obstacle course race that has runners navigating a series of 12 obstacles throughout a 5K course in an attempt to avoid those brain-craving zombies. At the end of the event, the organizers throw an “Apocalypse Party” filled with drinks, food, live music and more. The next race is set to take place in May in Boston, but races are planned in Colorado, Washington, Missouri, So Cal, Texas and more throughout the year, with additional locations to come.

This seriously looks like a blast of an event, and it appears the organizers go all out each time. Hit the jump to check out a video of the Run For Your Lives race and to see how you can attend one yourself.

Head over to the event’s official website for tons more info on how the races go down, including where and when they’ll be throughout 2012.
