There's usually the potential from some great laughs to be had when stand-up comedians host Saturday Night Live. We already Know SNL alum Dana Carvey is hosting this coming weekend, but now NBC has announced British stand-up comic and actor Russell Brand will host the late night sketch series for his first time on February 12th. Brand is on the midst of having a big year in film with his vocal talents being featured in the animated film Hop being released on April 1st and a starring role in the remake of the Arthur hitting theaters a week later on April 8th. Brand will be joined my musical guest Chris Brown, also making his first appearance on the show where I hope he's featured on another Lonely Island single in the consistently hilarious SNL Digital Shorts.
