Actor Sam Worthington has decided he’s not busy enough with the 78 billion movies he’s attached to and so he’s started up his own production company, Full Clip Productions. Now, Heat Vision reports that Full Clip is teaming with comic publishing house Radical Studios to “create and develop intellectual property that would be published with an eye towards screen adaptations. Radical is almost as busy as Worthington, and has been developing the twisted fairy tale Legends for Imagine Entertainment, and Oblivion with director Joseph Kosinski (TRON Legacy).
Worthington and Radical already had a working relationship as he’s attached to produce and start in an adaptation of their graphic novel, The Last Days of American Crime. Hit the jump to learn about their new project, Damaged and run the list of Worthington’s other projects.
According to Heat Vision, Damaged
“Centers on two brothers committed to justice in different ways — one inside the law, one violently beyond it. Now with the end of their careers approaching, they must train their replacements, hoping to remake them in their image. But the vigilante code has changed and the brothers are left unprepared for the true lawlessness and corruption that is about to be unleashed.”
The concept was created by John and Michael Schwarz and the graphic novel will be written by David Lapham. Lapham created the comic series Stray Bullets and his work generally makes me want to kill myself. It’s not because it’s poorly written, but because it makes me lose all faith in humanity. His “City of Crime” arc in Batman made Hell seem like a nice vacation away from Gotham City. There’s currently no writer attached to adapt Damaged, and to be clear: Worthington is not attached to star at this point.
However, there are plenty of other projects vying for his time, including:
- Avatar 2
- Clash of the Titans 2
- The Last Days of American Crime
- Quatermain
- Dan Dare: Pilot of the Future
- and possibly This Means War and Man on a Ledge
Worthington recently wrapped filming on Ami Mann’s crime-thriller The Fields. It’s amazing what starring in the highest-grossing movie of all-time can do for one’s career.
