Not too long ago we found out that Lost star Jorge Garcia would take part in another project from J.J. Abrams with a starring role in the mysterious drama series Alcatraz. Now Deadline reports Sarah Jones (Sons of Anarchy, Big Love) has landed the lead role of Rebecca Madsen, a smart, thoughtful and a little obsessive police officer. The series will follow the efforts of a team of FBI agents to track them down and unravel the mystery behind their disappearance thirty years prior. Abrams loves launching the careers of female talent looking to become a household (Keri Russell, Jennifer Garner and Evangeline Lilly) and if Alcatraz has just a fraction of the success that Lost attained, then Jones is on the right path to stardom. Surely more casting will be on the way as this project saunters through development, so stay tuned.
