Last night saw the premiere of a work-in-progress cut of Sausage Party, the R-rated animated film written and lead by Seth Rogen, at SXSW, and the immediate reactions seem to be almost entirely positive. One attendee at the screening compared the film, which also features voice work from Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, and Edward Norton, to South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut, one of the best animated films of the 1990s, while Annapurna head Meg Ellison went as far to call the screening the best moment of her life.
