SCOTT PILGRIM vs. Comic-Con! Cast and Director Edgar Wright Will Make T-Shirts for Fans!

     July 7, 2010

With the 6th and final comic hitting stores the day before San Diego Comic-Con and the movie hitting about two weeks after, it didn’t take a genius to figure out that Scott Pilgrim was going to be a big presence at the annual event. But no one could have predicted … Scott Pilgrim vs. Comic-Con.

According to THR, Universal will promote the August 13 release of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World by hijacking an area across from the San Diego Convention Center with a Pilgrim room that will have DJ’s spinning music and stars Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Anna Kendrick and even director Edgar Wright making special t-shirts for fans.

And that’s just part of it. Hit the jump for more on the Scott Pilgrim presence at Comic Con.

In addition to the Scott Pilgrim vs. Comic Con experience, which will be at the Hilton Gaslamp, the film will be a major part of a Thursday Universal panel in Hall H that will also include the first ever look at Paul, starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and directed by Greg Mottola. That’s right. Pegg, Frost and Wright, together again at Comic Con!

The full Thursday schedule for Comic-Con will be released at 9 a.m. PST on Thursday July 8 and there is sure to be more info about this event then. Plus, since Scott Pilgrim’s Finest Hour, the final volume to the series, is out on July 20, Oni Press is planning on releasing exclusive merchandise and will have creator Bryan Lee O’Malley not only do signings, but some kind of panel too, according to publisher Joe Nozemack.

If you love Scott Pilgrim, then San Diego Comic-Con is the place to be this year.
