If you want to see Scott Pilgrim vs. The World on the big screen again and again again (and again…and again), then Los Angeles’ New Beverly Cinema has got you covered.  On their Twitter feed, @newbeverly [via Movieline] announced that the film now has “monthly midnight residency”.  What that means is that starting Friday, September 23rd, Edgar Wright’s terrific film will screen at midnight once a month at the renowned theater.  Other films that have monthly residency are director/New Beverly owner Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs.  For folks who are planning to attend the Scott Pilgrim screenings, costumes are encouraged.  The film deserves a dedicated following so keep making those monthly screenings, L.A. people.

    • Could not agree more…most overrated movie of last year. I am a confirmed geek butcould not tolerate how hard this movie tried to be “hip”. Hopefully this movies out and out failure convinced studios to quit on Michael Cera.

      • strongly disagree. Scott Pilgrim was awesome and very well filmed. I havent read any of the comics, but love the movie. Its movies like this and Inception that prove original ideas can be good if given time and money. Im sick of hollywood remakes and sequels. At least Scott Pilgrim was inventive and original.

  1. Edgar Wright deserves this. Such a bold and inventive film that is definitely not for everyone. But I am glad to be apart of the “love it” camp.

  2. Scott Pilgrim is not a good movie, i’m a BIG Edgar Wright fan and the directing was incredible, but you just can’t watch a video game for over an hour. It was cool at first but then i got bored and sick of it very quickly.

  3. Love this film to pieces. Have gone out of my way to see the film in theaters 3 times since release, and one midnight screening a few months ago. Cannot get enough of this film. Haters will hate, but the film is unique and one of my all-time favorites.

It’s not for everyone, but people love the film and it is gathering a strong following since theatrical release. I have introduced quite a few friends to the film, and the response has been awesome. Hopefully I will be in LA again the same night they are having a screening.
