Hard to believe that fifteen years ago marked the first appearance of the Ghost Face killer slashing his way onto movie screens. Wes Craven’s Scream 4 will be the first installment of the franchise in ten years and we have bloody new TV spots and stills to share with you. While the trailer promises the return of some of Woodsboro’s most familiar faces, you can rest assured that Scream 4 will feature barely clothed hot girls doing stupid things and Ghost Face getting his stab on. We get older, they stay the same age. Hit the jump to check it out. Here's the TV Spot:Scream 4 plans on reuniting past Scream alumni David Arquette, Courteney Cox and Neve Campbell to expand on the plot established in the first three films. The new crop of soon-to-be-stabbed beauties features Emma Roberts (It’s Kind of a Funny Story), Hayden Panettiere (Heroes) and, my personal favorite, Alison Brie (Community). And I worry about Brie’s character, Rebecca, because any time your character only has a first name in a slasher flick, it can’t be good. I digress.Recently, Wes Craven himself discussed script troubles on the set of Scream 4. There were also early screenings way back in January of this year, which led us to believe that there were problems with the film they wanted to tweak before opening in the spring. While I tried to attend the event, there were way more people there than twice the number of available seats. Does that mean the franchise still has a rabid fan base or is it reaching out to new audiences? I guess the answer to Scream 4’s tag, “What’s your favorite scary movie?” could end up being Scream 4 itself.Check out all our Scream 4 coverage here. Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey (David Arquette) and Gale (Courteney Cox), who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill (Emma Roberts) and her Aunt Kate (Mary McDonnell). Unfortunately Sidney’s appearance also brings about the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends, and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger.
