Sean Hayes and RESCUE ME Co-Creator Peter Tolan Developing TV Series about a Gay Couple Raising a Child

Normally the prospect of a new series about two men raising a 12-year old kid would just scream Two and a Half Men copycat (a nightmare in itself), but this time a new sitcom with that premise comes with a bit of a progressive twist. EW has word that a new comedy series that will bring Will & Grace star Sean Hayes back to TV in a bold way. Apparently his new series will pair him with Rescue Me creator Peter Tolan and his writing partner Michael Wimer for a comedy that will follow a gay couple raising a kid. As of now the series hasn’t landed at a network and is currently just in the development stages. While you might think this is going to be a difficult show to sell, the storylines involving the openly gay main characters on Glee and Modern Family have worked out all right, so this could be another great step for representing all facets of today’s families on the small screen.

Same-sex ‘families’ are not families at all, they’re an abhorration and a disgrace to morality- and certainly not a productive enviornment to raise children in, despite what gutter-level-morals Hollywood propaganda puts out! Children need the stability of a mother and a father in a committed marriage, and before anyone accuses me of being old-fashioned and archaic, take a look at society and see how the liberal experiment has worked out, ’nuff said!

  OMG WOW … so sad to see people like yourself are still out there ! I’m a gay man raising two girls with my partner… They are plenty more stable and well adapted than most of their counterparts in school who are being raised by opposite sex couples … Very sad to know that there is still so much hatred out there.

  I’m raising 2 daughters with my partner, I assure you they are as well adjusted and in many cases more well adjusted than many of their counterparts being raised by opposite sex couples … (who sometimes are not STABLE and COMMITTED) – stability and commitment are important, YES, but why would you believe that gay couples are neither ? Describe what you mean by ABERRATION and a disgrace to morality…
