Exists, the found-footage film focused around Bigfoot, has finalized its cast. Good thing, because the production is scheduled to begin this coming Monday. Sanchez will direct from a script by Jamie Nash (Lovely Molly) with Brian Steele (Hellboy) ready to play the famous monster. This is a return of sorts for Sanchez, who arguably pioneered the found-footage genre with 1999’s The Blair Witch Project, a film style that (for better or worse) is still around today. Exists is a horror-thriller that focuses on a group of friends who go camping out in the Texas wilderness one weekend only to find themselves stalked and hunted by Bigfoot.
THR reports that Hahn will join The Secret Life of Walter Mitty to play Stiller’s sister, a “flighty” character who is supposed to be in charge of moving their mother (Shirley MacLaine) into a retirement home. The movie is a remake of the 1947 film starring Danny Kaye and based on a short story by James Thurber. The plot centers on Mitty (Stiller), a meek, magazine photo manager who lives vicariously through his daydreams, but finds himself on a real-life adventure when he must track down a missing photo-negative. Also starring Adam Scott (Step Brothers) and Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids), The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is scheduled to shoot this spring in Vancouver.
