NBC will keep things in house and let Seth Meyers host the 2014 Emmys.  It's a logical move.  Jimmy Fallon hosted the 2010 Emmys a year and a half after he took over Late Night.  Meyers will have sat at the Late Night desk for less than a year before he's thrust onto the Emmy stage on August 25, but NBC is ready to make the most of their turn in the rotation.  (The Emmys cycle between the big four networks.)  In addition to Late Night and years on Saturday Night Live, Meyers hosted ESPN's Espy Awards in 2010 and 2011.

Variety reports Don Mischer will executive produce the Emmy telecast.  Mischer previously produced the Emmys, the Oscars, the Tonys---even the Olympics.  With all manner of live show experience, Meyers and Mischer have the tools to put together a great show.
